The second Regional Cyber Security Conference was held on May 17, 2019, at the CentreVille Hotel & Experiences in Podgorica, organized by NGO Secure with organizational support from Vision Event, and under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro.

The goal of the Cyber Security Conference was to provide insight into the establishment, maintenance, and improvement of information security, protection against hybrid threats at the national level, and the safeguarding of critical infrastructure in companies and institutions — through education and awareness-raising on prevention, detection, defense, and mitigation of cyberattack consequences.

The central theme of the conference was “Strengthening National Cybersecurity in the Context of Countering Hybrid Threats, Based on Established NATO and EU Standards at the Global Level.”

The second Regional Cyber Security Conference gathered around 150 participants from Montenegro, the region, and Europe. Attendees included directors and senior representatives of institutions and organizations (including ICT departments), cybersecurity officers in corporations, government bodies and institutions, ministries, international organizations, missions, embassies, financial institutions (banks, insurance companies), as well as telecommunications, auditing, and IT companies — and other stakeholders whose operations depend on data security.
